Partners

SWARM-E gathers a top tier group of 16 organizations to form a well-balanced consortium between research, social and private sector, and geographic representation, bringing together 8 partners from 6 countries in Europe (Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, Belgium, Ireland and Italy), 7 partners from 3 African countries (Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya) and 1 partner from Asia (Bangladesh).

Each partner brings their unique experience working in the energy value chain, applying specific and cross-disciplinary aspects in engineering of renewable energy solutions, bottom-up electrification, LCA, mobilizing public and private stakeholders and knowledge of local conditions in the target pilot communities.

Several of the partners are present in several African countries, which is excellent for the future scalability.
Private sector members will have the chance to explore new markets and exploit a working business model, while members from academia will gain an opportunity to establish a North-South knowledge exchange and transfer technical innovations to the private sector.
